The Akron Bar Association membership is the all benefit-inclusive Membership.  Pricing is based on the number of years in practice,* providing reduced fees for newer attorneys in practice less than five (5) years, retired attorneys/judges, and associate members**.

Pricing- All membership length terms are for one year.

  • $495 (5+ years in practice)
  • $345 (3-4 years in practice)
  • $195 (1-2 years in practice)
  • $200 (Retirees, as identified by your Ohio Supreme Court Registration)

A+ Membership includes free access to these legal profession benefits provided by the Akron Bar Association:

**Associate Memberships - Without the complimentary benefits listed above however these benefits are discounted from the guest fees associated with CLE offers. 

  • $1,000- Business Affiliate (providing special offers and services to our membership base)
  • $125 - Paralegal
  • $125 - Legal Staff
  • Free - Newly Admitted Attorney (Less than one (1) year in practice)*
  • Free - Law Grads in Transition
  • Free - Law Student
  • Free - Paralegal Student
  • Free - Graduate/Undergraduate Student

* Years in practice is based on your initial admission date to the Bar of any state.

 New Admittees, when registering for CLEs, should sign up at the Classic Rate on the registration page in order to receive CLE credit.

New Admits to the Ohio State Bar are provided the option to bypass the Newly Admitted Associate Membership and enroll as 1st year in practice full Member A+kron benefit rate of $195. This will provide overall savings through the Unlimited Complimentary CLE benefit, section membership, practice listings in the digital directory, accesses to vLex/Fastcase legal research and the Lawyer Referral Service (LRIS)

Payment Options

The Akron Bar accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. At time of payment, you can elect to:

  1. Pay in full
  2. Or pay 12 separate installments*

Please Note: Electing separate installments adds a Credit Card processing fee to your balance total.

*  Payment Options 1 & 2 require a 12-month membership term
