Akron Bar Foundation

Founded in 1985, the Akron Bar Foundation (Foundation) is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the fundraising and charitable arm of the Akron Bar Association.  A 16-member Board of Governors leads the organization, and they strive to broaden its role in the community by supporting philanthropic activities and 501(C)(3) nonprofit organizations in Summit County, Ohio.

Mission Statement

As the charitable arm of the Akron Bar Association, the Akron Bar Foundation strives to improve the quality of justice and the image of lawyers through the support of law-related and public service programs primarily directed to the Akron metropolitan area.

Fellows

The Akron Bar Foundation accepts grant request to provide funding for programs or projects that meet one or more of the following objectives:

Will improve the justice system;
Will improve equal access to justice;
Or will improve the quality of justice through public service and/or law-related education.

Scholarships
