Why Attorneys Strike Out: Professionalism in Baseball and the Legal Profession is made possible by the Akron Bar Association's Rubber City CLE, the CMBA, and Philip Bogdanoff, Esq.
In this One and a Half-Hour(1.0 Prof. Cond. and 0.5 Gen.) CLE, Philip Bogdanoff discusses what separates a great attorney from one who strikes out. Much like baseball, the legal profession is built on preparation, integrity, respect, and sound judgment. This engaging program exploring the parallels between professionalism on the diamond and professionalism in the practice of law. The program will also feature a special presentation from the General Counsel of the Cleveland Guardians, offering a unique perspective on legal issues that arise behind the scenes of a Major League Baseball organization. Whether you’re a lifelong baseball fan or simply looking for a unique CLE experience, this program is sure to be a home run.

Speaker Biography

Philip Bogdanoff, Esq.
Philip Bogdanoff is a nationally recognized continuing legal education speaker. He served as a senior assistant prosecutor in the Summit County, Ohio Prosecutor’s Office for more than 27 years. He still serves as a special prosecutor and in 2022 argued three cases in the Ohio Supreme Court. He has taught members of numerous organizations including the National Association of Legal Administrators, National District Attorneys Association, and Ohio National Guard as well as over 50 bar associations, prosecuting attorney's associations, and law firms. Attorneys describe his presentations as interactive, engaging, useful, and entertaining.

Credit has been approved with the Supreme Court of Ohio, Commission on CLE for 0.50 General credits and 1.00 Professional Conduct credit. Akron Bar Association is an approved CLE provider with the Ohio Supreme Court.

Refunds include a $30 cancellation fee, but if you cancel at least seven (7) business days prior to the day of the course we will waive this fee. Failure to submit a notice of cancelation prior to 12 pm ET the day before forfeits entitlement to a refund. The Akron Bar Association and Foundation reserves the right to change, reschedule or cancel programing if circumstances warrant.
