Course Description
The Disability Law Summit (2026) is made possible by the Disability and Social Security Law Section of the Akron Bar Association and Foundation (Rubber City CLE).
Join us for an informative session featuring updates from the Social Security Administration and the local court system. Magistrate Reuben J. Shepherd will share insights on his transition from Administrative Law Judge to his new role with the Northern District of Ohio Court. Plus, hear from additional speakers on the latest Social Security updates and important news from the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). *For those that attend in person, please join us for networking and cocktails following the program at El Patron Tequileria, 54 E. Mill St., Akron (2 blocks from Akron Bar Association). A private rooftop lounge area has been reserved from 4:30-5:30 pm.

Please submit cancellations directly to the CLE Department via email. Refunds include a $30 cancellation fee, but if you cancel at least seven (7) business days prior to the day of the course we will waive this fee. Failure to submit a notice of cancelation prior to 12 pm ET the day before forfeits entitlement to a refund. The Akron Bar Association and Foundation reserves the right to change, reschedule or cancel programing if circumstances warrant.
