The Ault Mock Trial Team at Case Western Reserve University School of Law cordially invites you to serve as a judge during one or more rounds at its annual fall mock trial competition, the Case Classic. The competition will be held in person on November 11-13, 2022 at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center (1200 Ontario St., Cleveland, Ohio 44113).
This year's Case Classic problem is a criminal case: a plaintiff's attorney is charged with the murder of a judge following an unfavorable ruling. The competition will take place on Fri., Nov. 11th, Sat., Nov. 12th, and Sun., Nov. 13th.
We are still in need of judges for the following rounds:
Semi-Final Round, Sun., Nov. 13: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Final Round, Sun., Nov. 13: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Below is a link to a Google form, where you can indicate whether you would like to judge during the Case Classic and select the time slot(s) during which you would like to volunteer. Even if you can only judge one or two slots, we would greatly appreciate your help! This year, the competition field consists of 24 teams from law schools throughout the nation. For the competition to be successful, we need a substantial amount of volunteer judges. The students greatly value the opportunity to compete in front of seasoned attorneys and discuss litigation and practice tactics. In our experience, most judges are impressed with the caliber of competition and enjoy interacting with the students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided before/after the rounds.
