Summit County, Ohio - On behalf of The Legal Defender Office of Summit County Ohio, Inc., Director Andrea Whitaker is pleased to announce our new name: Summit Legal Defenders. The rebranding includes the launch of a new website.
With offices in downtown Akron, Barberton, and in the Summit County Juvenile and Stow courthouses, Summit Legal Defenders is the public defender for Summit County, handling misdemeanors, juvenile delinquencies, and contested adoptions.
The goal of the Summit Legal Defenders is to provide high-quality legal service to the indigent population of Summit County in a respectful, diligent, and responsive manner. Through our work, we hope to bring representation and a voice to those who cannot afford to retain counsel. We work for justice, access to the legal system, and the preservation and protection of our client’s rights both in and out of the courts.
