Akron, Ohio - The University of Akron School of Law has appointed Alecia N. Bencze, Esq., to be the Director of Career Services and Strategic Initiatives. Director Bencze started at Akron Law as the Assistant Director of Career Services and Student Advising in 2017. Following her promotion, she will continue to assist first year law students in finding career opportunities; assist in developing Career Services programs and preparing reports; manage the School of Law social media accounts and connect with faculty, staff, students, and alumni through digital marketing.
Alecia received her Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law, her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mount Union, and most recently her Master of Arts in Communication from The University of Akron. Prior to joining Akron Law, Alecia was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office, Civil Division.

The social media aspect of my job has been a wonderful way to use my master’s degree from the University of Akron to promote my law school alma mater.”
