Akron, Ohio - Vehicular access is currently open throughout the downtown area.
High Street will temporarily close this evening from Bowery to State Street at 5:30 pm EST.
A civil demonstration is planned for today, Jul. 11 at 6 pm EST in the area of 166 S High St
The City of Akron downtown curfew remains in place and in effect from 10 pm - 6 am EST. It will remain in effect until another order has been issued lifting the curfew.

For the purposes of this order, downtown Akron is delineated as follows:
North: SR 59 (Perkins St/MLK Jr. Blvd.)
West: SR 59 (MLK Jr. Blvd.)
South: I-76/I-77
East: SR 8
Those excepted from the curfew restrictions are as follows:
- All law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel and members of the news media, as well as other personnel authorized by the City of Akron, and the State of Ohio, or individuals otherwise exempt under the law.
- Persons traveling directly between their place of work and their residence.
- Persons traveling to seek medical care.
- Persons fleeing from dangerous circumstances.
High St. from Bowery St. to University Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic nightly from 7 pm-6 am EST.
