Summit County, Ohio - The Hon. Alison McCarty, Summit County Court of Common Pleas - General Division, announced that she is returning to in-person Call Days. Arraignments and First Pretrials may still be conducted by Zoom. To participate by Zoom, you must download the Zoom app and enter the meeting ID, which is: judgemccarty. Lawyers are responsible for informing their clients of this process. Do not call the Court asking for a link. No links will be sent out by email, however a link will be available from the Court’s website - click on Judge McCarty’s link, to find it.
Participants who are not in custody will be set from 8:30 -10:00 am EST on a first-come, first-served basis, and prisoners will be similarly handled from 10 am - 12 pm EST, by ZOOM unless otherwise ordered by the Court.
In an effort to reduce the backlog and waiting time on Wednesday mornings, for the near future, all non-incarcerated defendants will be arraigned by Zoom on Thu. at 1 pm EST.
