Akron, Ohio - Due to an underground vault fire, electrical service is currently down throughout the downtown area. Ohio Edison and City of Akron crews are on site and working on the problem. The outage is currently estimated to last until 5 pm EST, but the issue is still being investigated. We will update you as soon as we have additional information.
