Summit County, Ohio - It just became easier to get a marriage license. The Summit County Probate Court has implemented a new online marriage license application process. The Ohio Supreme Court’s annual technology grant program awarded $15,657.06 to the Court for this new application. By allowing applicants to fill out the required forms online, it saves time. They must still come to court in order to be sworn in, but it will reduce the wait time since the license can be automatically filled using the online information.
“We are delighted to offer this service to couples applying for a marriage license in Summit County and we are grateful to the Supreme Court of Ohio for the opportunity,” said Probate Court Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer.
This new module lets couples apply and pay for their marriage license online. Please visit the Court’s website at and click on the “I’m Getting Married” link for more information.
