ABOUT THE SECTION:
A brand-new section for anyone interested in promoting diversification in the practice of law! This section will feature monthly CLE luncheons, social and networking events and many other opportunities.

MEETINGS:
The Women in Law Section meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month (excluding Dec, July, Aug) at 11:45am at the Akron Bar Association.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Women in Law Section seeks to promote the administration of justice and to secure the full participation of women in the legal profession. In striving to improve the standard of excellence in the practice of law, we:
1) Increase the impact of women lawyers in the legal profession by providing effective mentoring, training, and support;
2) Expand networking opportunities for women lawyers;
3) Empower women lawyers to be effective leaders in the profession and in their communities;
4) Provide educational opportunities to build successful practices – both as businesswomen and as practitioners;
5) Assist law firms and organizations in their efforts to attract and retain women lawyers; and
6) Provide women lawyers an avenue to return to the active practice of law.
