ABOUT THE BANKRUPTCY & COMMERCIAL LAW SECTION
The Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section meets quarterly for dinner and to discuss substantive issues involving this are of law. The Annual White-Williams Bankruptcy Institute, co-sponsored with the Stark County Bar Association, is held every May.
This Section meets for dinner and a speaker quarterly, typically on the 3rd Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
MISSION STATEMENT
For the purpose of upholding the highest professional standards of competence, the Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section seeks (1) to educate its members; (2) to reduce barriers to active participation within the section; (3) to cultivate the development of a team atmosphere in the legal community (cohesiveness, intellectual discourse, mentorship of young attorneys, and accountability to the highest ethical standards of practice); and, (4) to promote a respectable legal voice within the community to ensure access to legal representation for those with low socioeconomic status.
