ABOUT THE SECTION: The Probate Law Section meets for CLE luncheons, featuring one-hour CLE presentations. The Probate Law Section also participates in the “Wills for Heroes” and "Wills for Seniors" pro bono service projects. The Annual Probate Law Seminar is held every June.

MEETINGS:
The Probate Law Section meets on the 3rd Friday of every month (excluding Dec, July, Aug) at 11:45am at the Akron Bar Association.

Wills for Seniors
The Probate Law Section of the Akron Bar Association and Community Legal Aid have partnered to create a new pro bono program entitled “Wills for Seniors.” This program allows for low-income senior citizens in Summit County to have their wills and other important end-of-life documents drafted free of charge.
On August 13th, the first Wills for Seniors event was held at the University of Akron School of Law. Attorneys Steven Cox and Joseph McLeland drafted wills and other documents for six senior citizens. Other volunteers included ABA members Angela Bertka and Suzanne Csanyi, as well as Cindy Adair and Kassim Ahmed from Community Legal Aid.
Thank you to the University of Akron School of Law and to all the volunteers for giving their time and expertise. Our volunteers allow the Akron Bar Association to continue to provide wonderful pro bono programs to our community!
