Invite an assistant prosecutor or victim services coordinator to speak to your classroom regarding a typical work day. The speaker will address the duties and responsibilities of the prosecutor or victim services coordinator. The presentation will usually last from 30-40 minutes. Available throughout the school year. We request 2 weeks notice in order to line up a speaker.
Topic Speakers:
Invite an assistant prosecutor or victim services coordinator to speak to your classroom regarding a specific criminal justice topic. The presentation will usually last from 30-40 minutes. Available throughout the school year. We request 3 weeks notice in order to line up a speaker.
Career Fairs/Workshops: The Prosecutor’s Office will provide a table of information and a staff representative. Please provide 4 weeks notice from the date of your event.
Job Shadowing: The Prosecutor’s Office will coordinate a job shadowing program in November and May of each school year. The job shadowing program will match a high school student interested in a criminal justice career with an assistant prosecutor or victim services coordinator based on availability. The student will shadow the staff member for the day and obtain a unique perspective on the day to day activity of our office. Deadline: October 15th for the November program, and and April 15th for May program.
Office/Courthouse Tour: The Prosecutor’s Office will coordinate an Office/Courthouse Tour for an interested high school class in November and May of each school year. To schedule a tour and office visit, please contact the office in September (for November, 2002) or by March (for May, 2003).
