Akron Attorney S. Samuel Nukes is the 1997 recipient of the Akron Bar Association Professionalism Award.
Nukes has practiced law in Akron throughout his career. He is a graduate of the University of Akron and received his law degree from Western Reserve University in 1956. His practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, products liability and wrongful death.
Nukes is a past president of both the Akron Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association Foundation. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and is active in his church, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Nukes is married to Mary Alice and has two children, Ted and Lisa.
The Professionalism Award was created by the Akron Bar Association in 1996 to recognize an attorney for exceptional dedication to the standards of the profession and for integrity and humanitarian concerns. Nukes is the second award recipient.
