Health Care reform: what employers need to do now

With the passage of sweeping U.S. health care reform legislation, virtually all businesses are now being confronted with new and complex challenges regarding health insuraance coverage and related employee benefits, employment law and other legal issues that will have far-reaching consequences - economically and otherwise. This informative semianr will explore the new health care reform law and recently released guidance under the law. Through an examination of the new law and guidance, the speaker will address the practical issues faced by employers in implementing health care reform.
From this seminar, you'll gain an understanding of:
- What it means for a health plan to be "grandfathered" under the new law.
- What if means for a health plan to lose its grandfathered status under the new law.
- The various coverage mandates applicable to health plans under health care reform.
- Implementation issues faced by employers when implementing these new coverage mandates into their health plan's design.
- The new law's pay or play provision.

From Rte. 8 South: Turn right at the Perkins Street exit. Turn left onto High Street. Turn left onto Mill Street. Turn left onto Broadway. The building is on the right hand side of the street.
From 77 South: Take I-76 East to State Route 59, merging at Perkins Street. Turn right onto High Street. Turn left onto Mill Street, then turn left onto South Broadway. The building is on the right hand side of the street.
From 77 North: Merge onto State Route 8 North and exit at Perkins Street. Turn left onto Perkins Street. Turn left onto High Street. Turn left onto Mill Street, and then turn left onto Broadway. The building is on the right hand side of the street.
PARKING Member parking is available on either side of the Akron Bar Association building. Non-member parking is available in nearby pay lots. Payment may require eight quarters.
